Vera Adams was born to the union of J.R. Moreau and Mazie Paul Moreau on July 2, 1930 and departed this life on August 14, 2020. During her lifetime, she enjoyed many social activities such as Eastern Star, Pink Ladies at Rapides General Hospital, Grant Parish Home & Garden Club, Red Hat Cha Cha Club and church activities which included for many years fixing Thanksgiving baskets for the needy of her church.

My precious dear friend and kindred spirit has gone home. She was a one of a kind hardworking, independent woman that put her faith in God. I learned a lot from her .. I will never forget her strength, knowledge, courage, perseverance and great big personality. I worked with her at Sam's for years and we continued that friendship thru the years. We met several time at Dollywood when she would come to Tennessee on her tours. She invited me to go on a Cruise at Christmas with her daughter/ daughters once and I couldn't get off work. I so wished I could've gone I know it must have been a blast.

It seems our souls touched each others and she use to say we were like Ruth and Naomi. I am a better person for having known her and I loved her dearly. My prayers and my heart are with all her family as they go thru this difficult time.

I know one Granddaughter lives or lived near Oak Ridge, TN she talked of her often when we talked.

With all my love from
Johnson City, TN

Vera and my Mother, the late Lou Littion, were
friends for many years, so I had a chance to see and visit with her lots of times over the years. As the official obit says, she was goal oriented and driven and I certainly never saw her drag her feet! A refined, no-nonsense, successful, accomplished lady with a keen sense of humor. Proud to have known her, and wish her family the best. They just don't make 'em like that anymore... Rita Litton Ellis
