Obituary for Sergeant Robert Edward Jarrell
Graveside services for Sergeant Robert Edward Jarrell will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth, Louisiana, with Reverend Steve Speer officiating, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Jarrell, age 71, of Ball, LA, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, Louisiana.
Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army, was a Vietnam Veteran, served 27 years in the National Guard and retired with the rank of Sergeant. Following his military career, Sergeant Jarrell was a truck driver for over 40 years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his parents Leo and Gloria Jarrell; siblings, Danny Jarrell, Bessie Benoit and Perry. Jarrell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years and 4 months, Gloria Jarrell; two sons, Michael James Jarrell (Rhonda) and Brian Shadrick Jarrell; one daughter, Alicia Borland (Jason); three brothers, Jimmy Jarrell (Judie), Leo Jarrell, Jr. (Sherry) and Paul Jarrell (Cathy); three sisters, Barbara Gilchrist (Martin), Pam McCann (Mike) and Diane Hebert; three grandchildren, Austin Rashall (PawPaw’s buddy), Makala and Madelynn Borland.
