Obituary for Mark Allen Waldrop
Mr. Mark Allen Waldrop, age 63, entered eternal rest on Friday, September 11, 2020 at his residence in Dry Prong, surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral services for Mr. Mark will be held Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Maxwell officiating. Mr. Glenn Harrold will read the eulogy. The burial will follow in Bay Springs Cemetery in Chopin, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home. Friends are welcomed to visit the funeral home from 9:00 AM on Tuesday, until the time of service.
Mr. Mark was a loving husband, son, brother, and friend, who enjoyed travelling and taking vacations with family. Mr. Waldrop delivered auto parts for 20 years, he enjoyed the comradery with his work buddies. He was a passionate bowler who took his sport very seriously. Mr. Mark enjoyed going to out of state bowling tournaments and spending time with the bowling community and family. He cherished every moment spent with his sister who would drive from Houston to visit. He enjoyed watching football and was an avid New England Patriots fan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Solomon Waldrop, Jr.; sister, Ima ; and sister-in-law, Brenda Albert Edwards.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 18 years, Gloria Albert Waldrop; mother, Grace Waldrop; sister, Anna Waldrop Stallings (Nick); sister-in-laws, Julane Albert Reinhart (David), Jowanna Albert Harrold (Glenn); brother-in-law, Johnwayne Albert (Sonya); inherited daughters, Nicole Gaspard, Samantha Clark, and Lisa Edwards; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
