Mrs. Maria Benita Ellis, age 82 of Bentley, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Graveside services for Mrs. Ellis will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 3, 2020 at Alexandria Memorial Gardens in Woodworth, Louisiana.

Mrs. Ellis worked at Cabrini hospital for 32 years, loved fishing and working in her yard. She was a faithful member of the St. Terrance Catholic Church.

Mrs. Ellis was preceded in death by her husband, Alvie Ellis, Sr.; sons, Alvie, Jr. and Robert Ellis,; parents, Augustus and Alejandrina Mendoza.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Edward Ellis, Steven Ellis (Shanna); grandchildren, Chad Ellis, Kayla Schultz, Benjamin Ellis, Joshua Ellis, and Lucas Ellis.; and four great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Leading Healthcare, Directions of Louisiana, and Compassionate Care Hospice for all of their care for Maria.

Pall bearers honored to serve are Benjamin Ellis, Joshua Ellis, Lucas Ellis, Steve Ellis, Edward Ellis, Chad Ellis and John Deselle.
