Obituary for Joyce M. Crooks
Mrs. Joyce M. Crooks, age 69, of Center Point, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Friday, August 14, 2020 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.
Memorial services for Mrs. Crooks will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 24, 2020 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home. Reverend Kenneth Hyde will officiate the service.
Mrs. Crooks was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a faithful member of Philadelphia Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. Mrs. Crooks also sang with the choir at St. Rita Catholic Church. Mrs. Crooks loved to help people and her community, she proved this by working as an LPN in Louisiana, Arizona, and New York for many years. She will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her son, Chris Berger; parents, Charles and Ruth Hunter Butler; step-father, Ron Cooper.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 30 years, Raymond Crooks; sons, Kenneth Crooks (Camille), Devan, Seth, Matthew, Daniel, and David Crooks; daughters, Monique Campbell (Dexter), Cori, Sara, Hannah, and Rachel Crooks; several grandchildren; cousins, Bryan and Christy Reynolds of Arizona, Bryan and Mary Reynolds of Arizona; and Gloria and Thadeus Auden of Lost Port, New York; and a host of friends.
