Obituary for Florence Louise Roberts (Verzwyvelt)
Mrs. Florence Louise Verzwyvelt Roberts, age 76, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home.
Services for Mrs. Roberts will be held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball with Reverend Martin officiating. The visitation for Mrs. Roberts will be held from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Burial will follow the service in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Mrs. Roberts was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She enjoyed reading, listening to audio books, watchin movies, and car rides, all with her loving husband. Mrs. Roberts loved her grandchildren and collecting many pictures of them. She worked in Rapides Parish as a librarian for over 25 years and will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Joseph Verzwyvelt and Hattie Gastrell Verzwyvelt; sister, Isabell Cataldie; brothers, Francis Verzwyvelt Jr., Robert Verzwyvelt, William Verzwyvelt, and David Verzwyvelt.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 56 years, Paul Roberts; daughters, Denise Baptist (Kenneth), Deborah Roberts, and Jennifer Riscili (Victor); brothers, Daniel Verzwyvelt, Thomas Verzwyvelt, and Lawrence Verzwyvelt; sisters, Catherine Verzwyvelt, Jeanne McCown, Beverly Matte, Nancy LaPrairie, and Mary Chicola; grandchildren, Allison Leray, Maurice Leray (Ashley), Ryan Leray, Ashley Nielson (Aaron), Nicole Riscili, Austin Riscili, and Alyssa Riscili; great grandchildren, Nikoda Leray, Noah Leray, and Kaylynn Nielson.
