Obituary for Billie Ruth Mott Sermons

Mrs. Billie Ruth Mott Sermons, age 86, entered eternal rest at her residence in Alexandria, surrounded by her loving family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home of Ball, Louisiana.

Services for Mrs. Sermons will be held at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home on Thursday, August 13, 2020, with Reverend Christopher Worth officiating. The burial will follow the services in Frazier Cemetery under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home. The visitation will be held on Thursday from 9:00 AM until time of the service.

Mrs. Bille was born in Prospect in 1934. Mrs. Billie was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother; where she lived until she married her high school sweetheart, Bobby Sermons. He later became a Missionary Baptist minister and the two grew in love together as he preached the Gospel. Mrs. Billie was a devoted Christian who loved reading her Bible daily. She later became a LPN continuing to help and love others through life.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Reverend Bobby Sermons; daughter, Karen Denise Sermons and Katherine Louise Morris; parents, John Mott and Callie Thomas Mott; and numerous siblings.

Honored with her memory of love, kindess, and laughter are daughters, Rhea "Missy" Furrh and Lisha Lepine; sister, Evelyn Yvonne Carr; 7 grandchildren;14 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
